The above illustrations are a collection of work I was honoured to have selected as part of various awards annuals in the past year; Communication Arts, American Illustration, Creative Quarterly, CMYK and Applied Arts.
It’s also been one year to the day since I got my first freelance illustration job (June 14, 2012). So that’s pretty cool.
This was for a short book review in the Globe & Mail this past Saturday of Howard Shrier’s ‘Miss Montreal’. It was a quick piece I did within a day and I was pretty happy with the results… And it’s always fun to do something moody!
I worked closely with Game & Print Club on this illustration of the Nintendo boxing game ‘Punch Out!’ which includes some other character cameos. This is a hand numbered, hand embossed, timed limited edition print which goes on sale:
5/16/2013 @ 6PM PAC - 5/19-2013 @ 11:59 PM PAC
This print - like all Game & Print Club prints - is pre-requisite restricted. You must meet at least 1 of the following 3 requirements:
A. Own at least 1 game in the Punch Out series. B. Own a Wii U console. C. Own a 3DS handheld.
This is my piece for Bottleneck Gallery’s “I Love You, Man” exhibit. A show all about bromance in pop culture. Iinspired by Andy and Red (and co.) from Shawshank Redemption. The title is a reference to how Andy tries to explain ‘hope’ to his fellow inmates.
Opening Reception: Friday, May 10th from 7pm-10pm eastern.
Online Sale: Saturday, May 11th at 12pm eastern
Bottleneck Gallery; 60 Broadway Brooklyn, New York 11249; Thurs - Sun | 12 - 7pm
